Because while I understand this is not the default for speed reasons, users constantly creating large temporary files on network drives can have an impact on the space and performance of such a shared system. Is there a place I can put the config file to act as a default configuration so i can enforce the User's temp setting by default (Or even enforce it completely)? If not, i'd like to request either the option for system admins to be able to specify the defaults in a central location (For example in %allusersprofile%\PeaZIP or in the program's directory) or for an (silent install) option to install the software with the User's Temp as the default setting. Or there might be multiple users on the same machine. On a corporate computer the administrator account will run the installation, and the user name of the user that will eventually run this program will be unknown. But I am unable to figure out how I can effectively configure this for all users on a machine. The solution for this is changing the archivers output directory to user's temp, this then prevents all the clutter caused by PeaZIP. However, i can't find out how I can configure the default settings for users to be more friendly in a shared environment such as network drives, or in my home case external drives as sometimes especially with nested archives I notice these temp directories do not always get cleaned up properly. Especially since I consider it more user friendly than the default 7-zip GUI. With the 7.8 release PeaZIP has gotten to a level of stability for me where I can recommend this tool to corporate users. ![]()
